Although there are many differences between the Amateur and professional ranks, the goals remain the same no matter what side of the fence you happen to be on. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will be introduced to the newest inductee ready to showcase his constrictive coils for Golden Ticket Fight Promotions as he embarks on his professional maiden voyage at Lightweight. An Amateur mixed martial artist since February 2018 and representing Team Renegade, Wez Tully owns a 7-5 record in 12 Amateur appearances comprised of three submissions, two knockouts and two decisions. Tully has spent the majority of his career as an Amateur MMA fighter with Golden Ticket Fight Promotions. He has finished five out of his seven victories overall and has spent his entire Amateur career in the United Kingdom. Both of his decision wins have come via unanimous verdicts.
In his Amateur MMA debut at Budo 27, he defeated Jake Rowell via unanimous decision. Tully submitted Charlie Callaghan via rear-naked choke in the second round at Golden Ticket Fight Promotions 11. Then at Golden Ticket Fight Promotions 12, he defeated Kacper Kzduncyk via unanimous decision. Tully tapped out Will Jones in the third round via armbar at Golden Ticket Fight Promotions 15. He knocked out Ryan Lockyer in round one at Golden Ticket Fight Promotions 17. He also picked up his seventh win inside the Amateur ranks in the process. Once a contest becomes a grappling affair, tangling with Tully becomes like a bucking bull you have no control over for however long the ride lasts!
