One of the most unique aspects of being a professional athlete is getting to travel the world for the love of the sport at various locations. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet the newest global groundbreaker planting fresh seeds for UAE Warriors and continuing the European takeover. A professional mixed martial artist since July 2024 and representing GB Top Team under the instruction of head coach and European MMA veteran Brad Pickett, Lisa Zimmo owns a 1-0 record with her only victory in the professional ranks coming via technical knockout. She has never gone to the scorecards at any point in time over the course of her career as a professional MMA fighter with a 100 percent finish rate to show for it. Zimmo is 1-0 under the UAE Warriors banner. Her lone finish during her professional career has come inside the third round with a time of two minutes and eight seconds. Zimmo has a single third-round finish under her belt in her sole appearance in the professional MMA ranks. She has spent her entire professional career with UAE Warriors. Zimmo also fought for several promotions as an Amateur including Cage Warriors Academy Southeast prior to turning professional.
In her professional MMA debut and promotional debut with UAE Warriors on the preliminary card of UAE Warriors 52, she faced Rewan Yasser and went on to defeat her via TKO in round three. The win earned Zimmo the first knockout victory of her professional career, in addition to her first victory, and she finished under the UAE Warriors banner. She also picked up win number one in the professional ranks in the process. Even at 31 years of age, Zimmo’s successful roots remain firmly anchored in UK soil no matter what side of the ocean she journeys to because home is always where your heart truly lies!
