BRAVE CF 85: Team Pakistan ready to make history at home, gearing up for revenge in duel against India

BRAVE Combat Federation is set to host the next generation of Pakistani fighters, as well as the biggest combat sports chapter in the historic India vs. Pakistan sporting rivalry at BRAVE CF 85, with the event featuring two highly anticipated matchups pitting the top fighters from both nations against each other.   Pakistan’s Rizwan Ali and Zia Mashwani will face off against India’s Srikant Sekhar and Bharat Khandare, respectively, with the Pakistani fighters seeking to avenge a recent defeat in BRAVE CF.   The last India vs. Pakistan encounter in BRAVE Combat Federation happened at BRAVE CF 47, where Pakistan’s Uloomi Karim faced India’s Mohammed Farhad. Farhad secured a memorable knockout victory, which quickly went viral, gaining millions of views on social media.   One of the first-generation MMA fighters from Pakistan, Uloomi has represented Pakistan across the globe having fought twice in BRAVE Combat Federation as well. Uloomi also had a win over India’s Yadwinder Singh during his MMA run but was stopped by Farhad’s knockout prowess at BRAVE CF 47.   Now, three years later, Rizwan Ali and Zia Mashwani will step into the cage at BRAVE CF 85 in Pakistan, aiming to avenge Uloomi Karim.   Rizwan Ali enters the fight following a recent victory in a Karate showdown between India and Pakistan. The undefeated prospect faces the toughest challenge of his career in the co-main event against Srikant Sekhar. Meanwhile, Zia Mashwani, a BRAVE CF veteran who fought in the organization’s first event in Pakistan, returns after a recent win in the regional circuit. He will be up against Indian MMA veteran Bharat Khandare, who seeks to make a historic comeback after seven years away from the sport.   Outside of the India vs Pakistan rivalry, other fighters will look to make a name for themselves on the global stage, as is the case for Aqib Awan, who takes on Marwin Quirante, and Ismail Khan, facing Bagylan Zakhansha in two huge Flyweight bouts.   Also set for fight night is the biggest Pakistani fighter, as Abbas Khan returns home to take on Adham Mohamed. Khan is the only fighter victorious at BRAVE CF 17, BRAVE CF’s first-ever Pakistan event, who is also fighting at BRAVE CF 85.

GLORY 96: Chico Kwasi vs Tyjani Beztati | Champion vs Champion

A champion versus champion superfight will take centre stage at GLORY 96 as GLORY welterweight world champion Chico Kwasi (43-5, 23 KO) puts his title on the line against GLORY lightweight world champion Tyjani Beztati (27-4, 9 KO).   GLORY 96 will take place October 12 live from the RTM Stage in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.   Kwasi will be making the first defence of his welterweight championship following his emphatic stoppage victory over former longtime champion Endy Semeleer at GLORY 91. The 26-year-old burst into GLORY in 2023 and has gone undefeated, winning all four of his GLORY bouts en route to capturing the title and claiming his spot as number one in the world.   While Kwasi has enjoyed a meteoric rise, Tyjani Beztati has been firmly establishing himself as one of the greatest champions in GLORY history. Also only 26-years-old, Beztati made his promotional debut back at GLORY 36 in 2016.   As a teenager stepping into the world’s largest kickboxing promotion, he earned himself the nickname as ‘The Wonderboy’ soon finding himself in title fights against greats like Sitthichai and Grigorian. However, he realised his dream of becoming GLORY champion after winning the title at GLORY 78 in 2021 and has since cleared out the division with five title defences.   He recently switched his attention towards the welterweight division and defeated former champ Endy Semeleer at GLORY 93. This victory set him up for an incredible dream match-up with Chico Kwasi.   It’s all on the line for both fighters. Chico Kwasi can firmly establish himself as world champion and put his name in for contention for P4P best on the planet while Tyjani Beztati has a chance to put his name in the history books and become only the third man, after Alex Pereira & Robin van Roosmalen, to win GLORY titles in two weight classes.   GLORY 96 will be available to watch live exclusively on Videoland in the Netherlands, DAZN in France & Belgium, and Bally Live & Stadium across the United States & Canada. Please check GLORYKickboxing.com for full global broadcast information.   Fans can register for the GLORY 96 presale right now at GLORYKickboxing.com. Tickets for GLORY 96 will go on sale next week.

Across The Pond Profile: Roland Pruden of Without Limits MMA

There comes a point in every young athlete’s professional journey where an opportunity is too good to pass up on the national stage. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a boar of brute will and awesome strength ready to exercise his cage artistry by painting Legacy Fighting Alliance Razorback red. A professional mixed martial artist since January 2024 and representing Without Limits MMA under head coach Matt Sellars, Roland Pruden owns a 1-0 record with his lone win inside the professional ranks coming via submission. He has a single first-round finish under his belt in his only appearance as a professional MMA fighter so far. Pruden has never gone to the scorecards at any point during his professional career and has a finish rate of 100 percent to show for it. The one and only finish over the course of his career in the professional MMA ranks has come inside of a single round with a time of one minute and six seconds. Pruden has spent his entire career as a professional mixed martial artist in the United States. He has fought for Real Deal Championships in his home state of Arkansas. Pruden also fought for various promotions as an Amateur prior to turning professional including Synergy FC. In his professional MMA debut at Real Deal Championships 10, he faced Dontail Henson and went on to submit him via rear-naked choke in the first round. The win earned Pruden the first submission victory of his professional career along with his first finish as a professional. He also picked up his first victory inside the professional ranks in the process. Mess with this boar and you will be on the blunt end of Pruden’s tusks at a full force spearing, so opponents blocking the point of entry should stand clear away from the line of burning flames shooting from his snout!
