Floyd Mayweather Jr arrives in México ahead of press conference

Floyd Mayweather Jr. arrived in Mexico City late last night, just before midnight on Monday, August 19th, and was greeted by a vibrant group of mariachis who surprised him with traditional music. In an unexpected and heartfelt gesture, Mayweather not only stopped to listen but also joined in the celebration, dancing to the music and embracing one of the mariachis, clearly showing his joy and gratitude.   “This is something that has never been seen before,” commented several onlookers. “Watching Floyd Mayweather enjoying Mexican music and sharing this special moment was simply epic.”   Before heading to his hotel, Mayweather took a moment to send a message to his Mexican fans: “I am very grateful to be here in Mexico City, a place full of history and world champions. An Amateur mixed martial artist since July 2019 and representing Team Sure Grip, Cameron Stewart holds a 7-2 record in nine appearances comprised of three submissions, two knockouts and two decisions. He has spent the majority of his Amateur career with Cage Warriors Academy Southeast and has finished five out of his seven overall victories over the course of his career in the Amateur MMA ranks. Stewart has spent his whole Amateur career in the United Kingdom. In his Amateur MMA debut at UWC 35 Heatwave, he faced Ben Reeve and submitted him in round one. Stewart defeated Kevin Dadgarporian at UWC Rampage via a majority decision, Then at Cage Warriors Academy Southeast 28, he submitted Billy Fenech in the third round via rear-naked choke. Stewart defeated Mani Oduocha at Cage Warriors Academy Southeast 31 via unanimous decision to score his second decision win as an Amateur. He tapped out Luigi Grimoire via rear-naked choke in the first round at Cage Warriors Academy Southeast 33 to secure his third submission win as an Amateur. Stewart defeated Kadre Dene via technical knockout in the third round at Cage Warriors Academy Southeast 34. At Cage Warriors Academy Southeast 35, he defeated Surkho Shamilov via TKO in round one. The win earned Stewart the second knockout victory of his Amateur career. He also picked up his seventh win inside the Amateur ranks in the process. With academy graduates like Rhi-Rhi Hudson already sending shockwaves through the professional ranks, Stewart will seek to do the same as he ventures into the professional dawn light! Antonio Plazibat out of GLORY 95 Main Event

Croatia’s Antonio Plazibat , on doctor’s orders, has been forced out of his fight against Levi Rigters at GLORY 95 on September 21 in Zagreb, Croatia.   In the accompanying social media video, Plazibat explains that a new injury to his arm was too severe and, as a result, he needs to withdraw from the fight and continue his rehabilitation with the aim to return to full health and competition at a later date. Watch the full video here GLORY will finalise a replacement to face number one heavyweight contender Levi Rigters in the main event of GLORY 95, which will be announced shortly.
