The Amateur MMA ranks can be viewed as a series of exams that only increase in difficulty with each passing grade. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will be introduced to a reaper of chaotic consequences whose you reap what you sow style has left opponents six feet under mother earth like freshly planted crops deep in the soil. An Amateur mixed martial artist since June 2021 and representing Marathon Mixed Martial Arts, Jonah Andrews owns a 7-3-1 record in 10 contests comprised of five submissions, one knockout one decision and a no contest. He has fought for numerous organizations over the course of his Amateur career including Fighting Alliance Championship and Synergy FC. Andrews has finished six out of his seven wins overall during his career as an Amateur mixed martial artist and has spent his entire Amateur career in the United States. The majority of Andrews finishes during his journey as an Amateur MMA fighter have been inside the distance.
At Shamrock FC 329, he submitted Bryaun Manuel via rear-naked choke in round one. Andrews also tapped out Donald Hill via rear-naked choke in the first round at Apex FC 2. Then at MOKAN 1, he submitted Dustin Thurman via rear-naked choke in round one. Andrews tapped out Jake Wilson in the first round at Apex FC 5. He defeated Sebastian Orlando via technical knockout in round three at FAC 15 to secure his first and only knockout win as an Amateur. Andrews submitted Cole Bax at Synergy FC 8 via rear-naked choke in the first round to score his fifth submission win as an Amateur.
At Fighting Alliance Championship 22, he defeated Bryan Herrera via unanimous decision. The victory earned Andrews the first decision win of his Amateur career. He also picked up his seventh win inside the Amateur ranks in the process. Foes that come in ill prepared against Andrews can expect to wither and wilt on the vine!
