An athlete who always strives to be successful to the best of their ability when duty calls in mixed martial arts walks and talks the talk anywhere in the world whenever the phone rings with a career-changing opportunity. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a journeyman of clear and present danger ready to enter the fire and spoil the Scottish homecoming on September 7 at Cage Warriors 176 from Glasgow’s Braehead Arena in hopes of making an instant impression on the Lightweight division for the promotion by stealing one on the road in an extremely electric environment. A professional mixed martial artist since October 2019 and representing Gym 01, Kye Stevens owns a 4-3-1 record in seven contests comprised of two knockouts, two decisions and a no contest. He has fought for several promotions during his professional career including Shock N’ Awe and Bellator MMA. Stevens has spent his whole professional career in the United Kingdom.
In his professional MMA debut at Shock N’ Awe 30, he faced Eloge Imbula Bofale and went on to defeat him via unanimous decision. Stevens defeated Charlie Guest via unanimous decision at Shock N’ Awe 31.5 to secure his second decision win as a professional. Then at Shock N’ Awe 32, he defeated Stelios Theocharous via TKO in the third round. Stevens defeated Nassuf Mouhoudhori via technical knockout in round one at Shock N’ Awe 34. The victory earned Stevens the second knockout win of his professional career. He also picked up his fourth win inside the professional ranks in the process.
In his promotional debut under the Cage Warriors banner at Cage Warriors 176 on September 7, he will take on Michael Blair in an affair at Lightweight. Other English fighters that will be looking to halt the hype train on the evening will include Kallum Parker and Ryan Hewitt. Good luck Kye!
