Even the brightest of highly touted talents can walk into the cage confident and come out of it with a bitter taste once they come under brighter lights as the new fighter on the block. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a pillager of frightful peril ready to sack the competition at PFL Glasgow from the Hydro on September 28. A professional mixed martial artist since August 2021 and representing Higher Level Martial Arts under James Doolan, Mark Ewen owns a 5-1 record through six contests comprised of four knockouts and one submission. He has fought for several promotions over the course of his professional career including EFC, Bellator MMA and Ares Fighting Championship. Ewen has finished all five of his wins and has never gone to the scorecards at any time during his career as a professional MMA fighter with a 100 percent finish rate to show for it. All of Ewen’s finishes during his career in the professional MMA ranks have come inside of two rounds.

In his professional MMA debut at Holytown Havoc, he faced Michael Blair and knocked him out in the second round. Ewen also knocked out Tom Mullen in round two at Almighty Fighting Championship 20. Then at EFC 95, he submitted Adrian Sanchez in the second round via anaconda choke to score his first and only submission win as a professional. Ewen knocked out Khairulla Khairullaev in round one at Ares Fighting Championship 10. For his lone outing under the Bellator MMA banner at Bellator 299, he defeated Noah Gugnon via technical knockout in the second round. The win earned Ewen the fourth knockout victory of his professional career. He also picked up his fifth win inside the professional ranks in the process.

At PFL Glasgow on September 28, Ewen will face off against Alex Chirov in a showcase encounter at Lightweight. Good luck Mark!
