Bellator Champions Series San Diego is official following today’s weigh-ins.
In a highly anticipated main event, reigning Bellator Lightweight World Champion Usman Nurmagomedov (17-0, 1 NC) will put his undefeated record and Bellator title on the line against the dynamic striking specialist Alexander Shabliy (24-3). Nurmagomedov faces a stern test from Shabliy, who has not tasted defeat in eight years.
The co-main event is set to be an electrifying battle for the No. 1 Welterweight contender position. Knockout artist Lorenz Larkin (26-8) will take on Georgia’s own Levan Chokheli (13-2, 1 NC). Chokheli’s impressive knockout record poses a challenge for Larkin, both vying to come out on top of the Welterweight division.
In another exciting matchup, former three-time Bellator Welterweight World Champion Douglas Lima (33-11) returns to the cage to square off against the surging Middleweight Aaron Jeffery (14-5).
Adding to the action, Maui native Sumiko Inaba (7-1) will challenge submission ace Mackenzie Stiller (3-0) in what promises to be a high-stakes contest. Fan-favourite Yancy Medeiros (12-8, 2 NC) will face off against Armenia’s Zhora Ayvazyan (14-1).
The event will air live in the U.S. on MAX at 5 p.m PT / 8 p.m ET and in the U.K. on DAZN at 1 a.m BT.
