The beauty of mixed martial arts is that the journey can be richly rewarding for fighters who continuously strive to improve their craft even when they are not on the clock. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet an eagle of Emerald glory ready to soar skyward at Bantamweight for Full Contact Contender. A professional mixed martial artist since July 2023 and representing Manchester Top Team under head coach Carl Prince, Armand Herczeg owns a 1-2 record with his one and only win coming via technical knockout. He has fought for Oktagon MMA and Full Contact Contender as the latest jewel in the European crown for the promotion following his two-fight stint with Oktagon MMA. Herczeg has spent his entire career as a professional MMA fighter in the United Kingdom. He has a single first-round finish under his belt through three outings as a professional mixed martial artist. He also appeared on the debut season of Oktagon Challenge as a member of Team Ireland. The lone finish during Herczeg’s professional career has been within the opening round in the space of five minutes or fewer with a time of three minutes and 59 seconds. He has finished his lone victory over the course of his professional career with one first-round finish to show for it.

In his promotional debut under the Full Contact Contender banner in the opening main card bout of FCC 39, he faced Mateusz Ircow and went on to defeat him via TKO in the first round. The win earned Herczeg the first knockout victory of his professional career in addition to his first win and finish under the Full Contact Contender banner. He also picked up his first victory inside the professional ranks in the process. Even though Herczeg has experienced some early professional turbulence in the beginning legs of his journey, clearer skies are ahead!
