The former Bantamweight champion is now looking to become BRAVE CF’s second two-division world champion.

Former BRAVE CF Bantamweight champion Jose Torres has been hinting at a move back to Flyweight for the past few months, following a failed bid to regain his title against arch-rival Nkosi Ndebele. However, he went ‘’Instagram official’’ with the move, announcing his return to 125 pounds through his social media profiles.

‘’I’ve won and brought to my city three different titles as a professional and now I think it’s time to go after another one. BRAVE CF Flyweight title, here I come! Let fight camp begin’’, posted Torres, also hinting at fight news very soon.

‘’Shorty’’ has previous experience in the Flyweight division, beating Amir Albazi on his BRAVE CF debut and went on to draw with Sean Santella and beat Blaine O’Driscoll before moving up to Bantamweight. At 135 pounds, Torres beat Izzedine Al-Derbani and earned a world title shot, when he became the new BRAVE CF Bantamweight champion by beating Nkosi Ndebele.

It was the beginning of one of BRAVE CF’s biggest rivalries as their first encounter was deemed close enough for fans to demand an immediate rematch – Torres and Ndebele fought again last December, as Nkosi became champion then with a stellar performance.

The two of them then met on the first trilogy in BRAVE CF history which also served as the first-ever BRAVE CF trilogy with each fight taking place in a different continent – the first fight was in Colombia (South America), the second bout took place in Bahrain (Asia), and the trilogy happened in Mauritius (Africa).

Once again, Nkosi Ndebele prevailed, this time via decision, prompting Torres to start entertaining the idea of returning to Flyweight. Before his BRAVE CF days, the two-time IMMAF world champion had been a two-division titleholder at leading American promotion Titan FC, which propelled his career to the next level.

Torres is now set to enter the deeper and deeper Flyweight division with the likes of MMA superstar Muhammad Mokaev, African legend Luthando Biko, sambo world champion Velimurad Alkhasov, sambo European champion Bidizina Gavashelishvili, South America’s number one Flyweight Marciano Ferreira, and many others.
