Timing can be everything for a fighter looking to hit the ground running in mixed martial arts. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will be introduced to the latest Ozark howler ready to turn himself loose and make opponents bear the brunt of frustration at Lightweight for Synergy FC as the promotion prepares for an Amateur party in 2025. An Amateur mixed martial artist since March 2024 and representing Team Fusion Jiu-Jitsu and MMA under the eye of head coach Brad Montgomery, Garrett Cross owns a 2-0 record consisting of one submission and one knockout. He has spent his whole Amateur career with Synergy FC and is 2-0 under their banner. Cross has spent his entire career as an Amateur MMA fighter in the United States and has never gone to the scorecards at any juncture during his Amateur journey with a 100 percent finish rate to show for it. Both of his finishes over the course of his career as an Amateur mixed martial artist have come inside of two rounds. Cross has two second-round finishes under his belt in each of his appearances inside the Amateur MMA ranks thus far.

In his Amateur MMA debut and promotional debut under the Synergy FC banner at Synergy FC 12, he faced Colton Justus and defeated him via TKO in round two to notch his only knockout win as an Amateur. Then in his second outing under the Synergy FC banner at Synergy FC 14, Cross submitted Jacob Caruthers via anaconda choke in the second round. The win earned Cross the first submission victory of his Amateur career in addition to back-to-back wins and finishes under the Synergy FC banner. He also secured consecutive victories to begin his Amateur career in the process. If a fighter is in error against Cross, they are on a barrowed countdown crunch!
