Gowen has spent the majority of her career as an Amateur MMA fighter in the United Kingdom and has also competed in IMMAF. In her Amateur MMA debut at Meltdown Fighting Championships 8, she defeated Aysha Begum via technical knockout in round one to notch her only knockout win as an Amateur. Gowen defeated Mim Grubb at Meltdown Fighting Championships 9 via unanimous decision. Then at Shock N’ Awe 34, she defeated Suzanne Wilson via unanimous decision. Gowen defeated Lauren Woolf via a split decision at EMMA Four Nations Day two 203 She defeated Hayleigh Heather at EMMA Four Nations Day three 2023 via unanimous decision. Gowen defeated Marketa Urbanova via unanimous decision at IMMAF 2023 World Championships Day 3. She defeated Louise Bennett at Cage Warriors Academy Southeast 34 via unanimous decision. Gowen defeated Hayley Barraclough via unanimous decision at IMMAF 2024 World Championships Day three.

At IMMAF 2024 World Championships Day four, she defeated Shelda Chipito via unanimous decision to earn the eighth decision win of her Amateur career. She also secured her ninth victory inside the Amateur ranks in the process. Gowen’s searing heat scorches everything that it comes in contact with!
