The continuing popularity of Italian MMA has quickly made Rome a destination date on the yellow glove slate in the past few years. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet the latest tapout artesian ready to paint Flyweight’s portrait with an expert brushstroke at Cage Warriors 183 on March 8 in the ultimate gladiatorial bash to kick off the 2025 campaign. A professional mixed martial artist since July 2021 and representing Kombat Miratori, Davide Scarano holds a 5-3 record in eight bouts consisting of three submissions, one knockout and one decision. He fought for various organizations in his home nation of Italy including Venator FC prior to making his promotional debut with Cage Warriors 150 in March 2023. Scarano has finished four out of his five total wins during his journey in the professional ranks. His only decision win over the course of his career as a professional MMA fighter has resulted in a unanimous verdict.
In his professional MMA debut at MFC 4, he faced Alex Antonicelli and went on to submit him via armbar in the second round. Scarano defeated Fabio Morlacchi at Venator FC 9 via unanimous decision to notch his first and only decision win as a professional. Then at Venator MMA 10, he defeated Leigh Mitchell via technical knockout in round two to score his first knockout win as a professional. Scarano tapped out Jefferson Espinosa in the first round via rear-naked choke. In his third appearance under the Cage Warriors banner on the preliminary card of Cage Warriors 175 he submitted Fran Breen via armbar in round one. The victory earned Scarano the third submission win of his professional career in addition to his first victory and finish under the Cage Warriors banner. He also secured his fifth win inside the professional ranks in the process.
At Cage Warriors 183 on March 8, he will square off against Florian Doskja in a flyweight duel. Good luck Davide!
