A professional mixed martial artist since December 2017 and representing Tata Fight Team, Hugo Cunha holds an 8-2 record through 10 outings consisting of four submissions and four knockouts. Cunha appeared on week two during Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series in 2024 and has fought for several promotions throughout his journey as a professional MMA fighter including Legacy Fighting Alliance. Cunha has finished all eight of his victories during his career in the professional ranks with a finishing rate of 100 percent to show for it. He is 2-0 under the LFA banner with two finishes under his belt in two appearances with the promotion and is the current LFA Heavyweight champion. Cunha has spent the majority of his professional career in his home nation of Brazil.
In his professional MMA debut, he defeated Robson da Silva Santos via TKO in round one. Cunha submitted Kevin Costa in the first round via rear-naked choke. He defeated Junior Silva via technical knockout in round one. Then at Titan FC 52, he defeated Marino Eatman via TKO in the second round. Cunha tapped out Henrique Silva Lopes at Future FC 8 via rear-naked choke in round one. He submitted Oleg Kubanov at Open Fighting Championship 3 in the first round via rear-naked choke. Cunha defeated Fernando Batista via technical knockout in round one in his promotional debut with Legacy Fighting Alliance at LFA 159. He submitted Eduardo Neves via arm-triangle choke in the second round in the main event of LFA 171 to score the fourth submission win of his professional career alongside back-to back victories and finishes under the LFA banner. He also secured his eighth overall win inside the professional ranks in the process.
On March 22 in the main event of LFA 204, he will face Denzel Freeman in an international clash of the titans for the LFA Heavyweight strap. Good luck Hugo!
