Europe’s biggest MMA tournament is back this weekend and in season three, we are featuring the heaviest weight class yet!
OKTAGON 66 kicks off our massive 2025 schedule in style this Saturday, February 1, as we take over Düsseldorf, Germany, for the very first time. PSD Bank Dome is completely sold out with over 14,000 fans set to be in attendance for what promises to be a thrilling evening of sporting action. All twenty-two athletes competing on the card officially weighed in earlier today.
In the main event, current middleweight champion, Kerim Engizek (21-4), represents Turkey in the European MMA Champions League opening round against late replacement, Kamil Oniszczuk (10-4), who has received plaudits for stepping up at the last minute. UFD Gym product, Lom-Ali Eskiev (22-7, 1NC), clashes with Brazilian newcomer, Wanderley Junior (17-9), in an important lightweight co-headliner.
Top Czech talent, Matěj Peňáz (9-1), is undefeated in the promotion but faces his toughest test to date in the form of European veteran, David Zawada (19-10), during the €1 million Tipsport Gamechanger opening round. In a featherweight feature bout, the battle of strikers will take place when former boxing champions, Vladimír Lengál (7-3) and Deniz Ilbay (7-1), throw down.
Elsewhere on the card, Muay Thai specialist, Matouš Kohout (11-8), collies with Glory kickboxing alumni, Cihad Akipa (7-2), at welterweight. Tamerlan Dulatov (1-0) also makes his anticipated OKTAGON MMA debut opposite Ghith Ighzawi (Pro Debut) at a catchweight of 80kg/176lbs.
OKTAGON 66 will be broadcast live on OKTAGON.TV internationally and fans in Germany can watch on RTL+. Viewers in France can also tune in on RMC Sport and Greek audiences can see all the action on Cosmote.tv. The event begins at 5pm GMT/6pm CET/12pm ET/9am PT.
