The yellow glove experience is unlike any other experience in European MMA because everyone’s journey to Europe’s leading summit is a like a new narrative novel where the characters may change, but the ending will always remain the same with cliffhangers around every corner. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a python of perilous gambles ready to turn luck right side up for Cage Warriors as 2025 gets going for the top dog of Europe. A professional mixed martial artist since April 2016 and representing TSG MMA Fight School, Danny Blundell holds a 6-3 record in nine bouts consisting of four submissions, one knockout and one decision. He fought for UCMMA prior to debuting with Cage Warriors at Cage Warriors 180 in November 2024. Blundell has finished five out of his six total victories and has spent his whole professional career in the United Kingdom. All of his finishes over the course of his journey as a professional MMA fighter have come inside the opening round. Blundell’s lone decision win has resulted in a unanimous verdict.
In his professional MMA debut at Gods of the Arena 4, he faced Linas Meistavicus and tapped him out via rear-naked choke in round one. Blundell defeated Paul Golding via technical knockout in the first round at UCMMA 26 to notch his first and only knockout win as a professional. Then at Gods of the Arena, he submitted Tyler John Thomas via heel hook in round one. Blundell tapped out Lukas Bienias at UCMMA 51 in the first round via heel hook. He defeated Qamer Huessin via unanimous decision at UCMMA 52 to score his sole decision win as a professional.
At UWC Uprising, Blundell submitted Kester Mamba via heel hook in the first round. The win earned Blundell the fourth submission victory of his professional career. He also secured his sixth win inside the professional ranks in the process. When opponents become trapped in Blundell’s constrictive embrace, the marginal space to escape out the back becomes minimal with every available avenue that closes and reroutes like lanes of traffic!
