He has fought for Bloodine Fight Series and Cage Warriors Academy Southeast. His lone decision win during his journey as an Amateur MMA fighter has resulted in a unanimous verdict. Philips is 1-1 under the Cage Warriors Academy Southeast banner and has spent his entire Amateur career in the United Kingdom. He has a single second-round-finish under his belt through two appearances over the course of his career in the Amateur MMA ranks to show for it so far as an Amateur mixed martial artist.
In his Amateur MMA debut at Bloodline Fight Series 4, he faced Cory Burridge and went on to defeat him in round two to score his first and only knockout win as an Amateur.
