The travel bug is something that every professional and Amateur athlete has experienced at least once during their respective journeys. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a serpent of warm wrath, ready to constrict the cold chill at Med City Fighting Championship 3 on May 31 at the Graham Arena.  A professional mixed martial artist since April 2024 and representing 4 OZ Fight Club, Dania Cruz holds a 1-1 record with her only victory as a professional MMA fighter coming via submission. She has fought for Peak Fighting and has spent her entire professional tenure in the United States. Cruz has never gone to the scorecards at any point in time over the course of her journey in the professional ranks with a 100 percent finish rate to show for it. The lone finish during Cruz’s professional career has come inside of a single round with a time of two minutes and two seconds. She also fought for several promotions as an Amateur before turning professional including Fury Fighting Championship. Cruz has spent her whole career as a professional mixed martial artist in her home of Texas. She has one first-round finish under her belt through two appearances in the professional MMA ranks thus far.

In her professional MMA debut at Peak Fighting 35, she faced Karla Alvarez and went to tap her out via armbar in the first round. The win earned Cruz the first submission victory of her professional career in addition to her first finish. Cruz also scored her first win inside the professional ranks in the process.

At Med City Fighting Championships 3 on May 31, she will square off against Nicdali Rivera- Calanoc in a catchweight contest at 118 pounds in an age-old classic MMA pairing of a ground specialist versus a seasoned veteran striker with considerable experience in her combat travel log. Good luck Dania!
