Returning to something you love after a prolonged absence often means turning over a new leaf and putting things into a clearer perspective. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will be introduced to a Rushmore Ram Wrangler ready to get back on the professional bike for Legacy Fighting Alliance at LFA 207 on April 18 as the promotion returns to South Dakota. A professional mixed martial artist since May 2023 and representing Rogue Martial Arts, Cara Greenwell owns a 1-1 record with her lone win in the professional ranks coming via technical knockout. She has fought for Fury Fighting Championship and has spent her entire professional career in the United States. The only finish over the course of her professional journey has come inside of a single round with a time of two minutes and 51 seconds. Greenwell has never gone to the scorecards at any point in time during her career as a professional MMA fighter with a finishing rate of 100 percent to show for it. She has one first-round finish under her belt in two appearances as a professional mixed martial artist thus far. Greenwell also fought for various promotions as an Amateur including Fury Fighting Championship and numerous organizations throughout the Southwest before turning professional.
In her professional MMA debut at Fury Fighting Championship 79, she faced Christy Tyquiengco and went on to defeat her via TKO in round one. The win earned Greenwell the first knockout victory of her professional career along with her first victory and finish under the Fury Fighting Championship banner. She also secured her first win inside the professional ranks in the process. For her promotional debut with Legacy Fighting Alliance on April 18 at LFA 207, Greenwell will face Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series season eight alumni Leslie Hernandez in a Strawweight encounter between a promotional newcomer and an established prospect. Good luck Cara!
