But the charismatic fighter has his eyes on something more personal—his upcoming wedding. After the fight, he hinted that he hopes UFC President Dana White will help with a special part of the celebration. Surprisingly, White seemed open to the idea and gave a positive response.
Jean Silva’s Proposal to Dana White
After defeating Bryce Mitchell, Jean Silva took the spotlight during the UFC 314 post-fight press conference to share his plans for life outside the octagon. He had a fun and memorable exchange with Dana White that had everyone in the room laughing.
The 28-year-old joked that Dana White could help pay for his wedding singer, whose performance fee is quite expensive. With a smile, Silva grabbed the mic and explained how White could earn the role of best man at the wedding.
He said, “I think there was some people that came and talked to us today and after the talk that we had we might be really close. Do you guys think if I invite Dana to be my best man he’ll pay for Belo’s rate?”
Though it was a lighthearted question, the wedding singer’s fee is no joke. It’s said to be about four UFC fight purses for Silva. So, it’s easy to see why Silva came up with this creative solution, adding a touch of humor. As always, White’s response didn’t disappoint.
Dana White Responds to Jean Silva’s Request
After Silva shared his unique wedding wish, the request was passed on to Dana White during the UFC 314 post-fight press conference. At first, White looked surprised and a little confused. But once it was clear that Silva only wanted help paying for the wedding singer, Dana couldn’t help but smile.
White said, “Wait a minute. He wants to marry his partner in a church, I’m the best man if I pay for it. I’m gonna need more information on this, but I’m probably in.” Dana White is known for helping fighters behind the scenes, so his answer wasn’t a big surprise.

Jean Silva is in a serious relationship with his partner, Carolina de Castro. The couple hasn’t shared a wedding date yet. But when they do get married in the church, everyone will recall this fun conversation for sure.
