On The Joe Rogan Experience podcast, we usually hear Joe and his guests talk about MMA and sometimes politics, business, and entertainment. But health and food are the topics he rarely covers. That changed in a recent episode.
His discussion with health and wellness influencer Gary Brecka turned into a serious conversation that concerns everyone who uses cooking oil in their daily meals. Even Rogan himself was shocked by what he heard.
Gary Brecka’s Bold Statements Leave Joe Rogan Stunned
Gary Brecka recently appeared on The Joe Rogan Experience in episode 2304. Known as a biohacker and celebrity health coach, Brecka often talks about how to live a healthier life. So when he joined Rogan’s show, fans expected some serious talk about the foods we eat every day.
As the conversation went on, Brecka brought up a shocking topic—seed oils. He pointed to common ones like sunflower, canola, corn, and grapeseed oil. According to him, these oils are not just unhealthy—they’re dangerous. He described them as “chemically altered toxins” and claimed they might lead to cancer and dementia.
He didn’t stop there. Brecka explained how these oils are made using high heat and strong chemicals. This process, he said, leaves behind harmful leftovers that we end up eating. “These aren’t natural oils,” Brecka warned. “They’re industrial byproducts. They’re full of neurotoxins that damage your brain and carcinogens that contribute to cancer. We’re literally cooking our food in poison.”

To make things worse, he called the entire oil-making process a ‘chemical nightmare.’ He stated that the extraction of oil involves the use of solvents such as hexane, which could potentially leave behind harmful residues in the oil.
After hearing Brecka’s warning, Rogan was visibly shocked and disgusted. He responded, “That process is so vile.” His reaction resonates with anyone who’s ever used these oils in their cooking.
Is Brecka Saying It All Accurately to Joe Rogan?
This is a hard question because we shouldn’t just believe everything a person says, even if they call themselves an expert. Some real health experts say there’s a little research showing seed oils might be linked to health problems—but nothing is proven yet. Many think Gary Brecka is making a very complicated topic sound too simple.
Biggest fraudster grifter in nutrition/health (or whatever “hacking” industry he considers himself in) today I’m so sick of hearing this guys name and people asking me about him. Clear and obvious bullshitter https://t.co/B95NG4yWaE

Furthermore, people know that Gary has a controversial past. He’s been accused of selling fake cancer cures that cost as much as $134,000. Doctors say there’s not much real science behind his treatments. Some even say his health products promise things that aren’t actually possible for the human body.
