Paddy Pimblett recently secured a huge win at UFC 314, defeating Michael Chandler with a third-round TKO. His performance was nothing short of dominant. From start to finish, he showed unmatched confidence, power, and skill.

His performance left no doubt about his talent. He also showcased a personality that could make him the perfect money-making machine for the company. So, as the 30-year-old Liverpool fighter rises through the ranks, more and more people are asking what Dana White’s plans are to protect the UFC’s golden goose.

Brendan Schaub’s Advice for Protecting Paddy Pimblett

On a recent episode of the Thiccc Boy Podcast, Brendan Schaub shared his thoughts on how the UFC should handle Paddy Pimblett’s next fight. Schaub acknowledged that Pimblett’s win over Michael Chandler was impressive, but jumping straight into a fight with top contenders like Ilia Topuria or Islam Makhachev might not be the best move just yet.

Instead, Schaub suggested a matchup against former champion Charles Oliveira. While still a challenge, Schaub felt this fight would be a reasonable step up for Pimblett. He pointed out that Pimblett defeated Chandler more decisively than Oliveira had, making it an interesting and competitive bout.

However, Schaub also emphasized the need to protect Pimblett, the UFC’s rising star. He proposed a safer alternative: a fight with Justin Gaethje. Schaub noted that Gaethje’s weaknesses against strong grapplers could make this fight a favorable option for Pimblett.

“If I’m the UFC, this is what we wanna do. We want Paddy to get enough credibility to fight for the title… Poirier is a tough one, Charles Oliveira is a tough one. Can Paddy Beat them? Yeah, he can. It’s tough man, he’d be the underdog in both of those. ” Schaub said.

Big Brown added, “But, the one guy there with a huge hole in this game is Justin Gaethje. He is coming off a win, and he beat Justin Gaethje. No one’s gonna complain if he gets a title shot. That’s what I would do. You protect the golden goose.”

Dana White’s Next Move for The Baddy

Dana White knows how to turn fighters into stars while keeping the UFC’s business strong. He usually follows a smart plan that builds a fighter’s name and keeps fans excited. Many believe he’s doing the same with Paddy Pimblett.

Right now, fans are waiting to see who Pimblett will fight next. UFC matchmakers must decide if he’ll face a top name like Charles Oliveira or take on someone like Justin Gaethje, who might be a better match for his style.

As long as the UFC keeps the next fight a mystery, people will keep guessing. For now, White’s plan for Pimblett remains one of the biggest topics in the MMA world.
