In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will a hound of howling midwinter gales ready to add another golden addition to his MMA trophy case for Med City Fighting Championships at MCFC 3 on May 31 at the Graham Arena. An Amateur mixed martial artist since March 2020 and representing The Cellar Gym, Anteze Howard holds a 6-3 record in nine contests consisting of five submissions and one decision. He has fought for several promotions throughout his Amateur career including Ignite Fights and Legacy Fighting Alliance and has spent his whole career in the United States. His only decision win during his Amateur journey has resulted in a unanimous verdict. Howard has finished five out of his six total victories over the course of his journey as an Amateur MMA fighter.
In his Amateur MMA debut at A Town Throwdown 16, he submitted Alex Zapata via rear-naked choke in round one. Howard defeated Andrew Foss via unanimous decision at LFA 115 to score his lone decision victory as an Amateur. Then at LFA 120, he tapped out Gunner Charbonneau via triangle choke in the second round. Howard submitted Dylan Smerillo in round two at A Town Throwdown 18. He tapped out Romello Monjaras at Ignite Fights Iowa Fight Series in the first round via armbar. At Ignite Fights Iowa Fight Series 2 he submitted Andres Lugo via rear-naked choke in round four. The victory earned Howard the fifth submission win of his Amateur career. He also secured his sixth win inside the Amateur ranks in the process alongside his fifth overall finish.
On May 31 at Med City Fighting Championships 3, he will face off against Ashanti Olofintila for the Featherweight title. Good luck Anteze!
