The highly anticipated return of Conor McGregor to the UFC has been a topic of speculation for years, but Joe Rogan isn’t buying it. He voiced strong doubts about McGregor stepping into the Octagon again. He cited the fighter’s luxurious lifestyle, legal troubles, and prolonged absence from competition as possible reasons.

Rogan’s Skepticism Over Conor McGregor’s UFC Future

Conor McGregor has been out of the Octagon since 2021 due to a devastating injury. Fans still miss his world-class fighting style, and despite the controversies, many in the MMA community are eager to see him return. Meanwhile, his legal defeat in the rape case against Nikita Hand was another huge setback.

Now, many experts—and even Joe Rogan—believe the former UFC champion may never return to the promotion. Joe Rogan has never shied away from bold predictions. Rogan concerns the Notorious’ recent lifestyle, filled with partying, legal issues, and luxurious travels, including yacht excursions and Lamborghini joyrides. While acknowledging McGregor’s enormous wealth, Rogan insinuated that the Irish star may no longer have the hunger needed to return to the pinnacle of MMA competition.

Is McGregor Truly Done With MMA?

While Rogan’s words may sound harsh, many will agree with him. They feel McGregor may have already checked out of pro fighting. Plus, his absence from the USADA testing pool adds to the doubt. Now, many wonder if his comeback is just a façade.

However, some of his recent activities suggest he still wants to return to action. According to several reports, he is allegedly trying to set up a boxing match in India with sponsorship help from the country’s richest family—the Ambanis. Multiple opponent names have been mentioned, and McGregor even shared the news on his Twitter handle. However, despite the excitement, there has been no confirmation since then.

In the meantime, after his recent visit to the White House, his political views have also become a topic of daily conversation. So, if he doesn’t return to the Octagon, one thing seems clear—he might be stepping into politics in the near future.
