No matter how large and in charge they are, the definition of what it means to be successful is different in its way for every MMA fighter. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet the latest Southern earthshaker ready to make the Dakotas suffer the full brunt of his down South might at Light Heavyweight for Cage Fury Fighting Championships. A professional mixed martial artist since February 2023 and representing The Brawlers Den and Memphis Judo and Jiu-Jitsu, Frank Rayford holds a 3-1 record through four outings consisting of two knockouts and one submission. He has fought for several promotions throughout his journey as a professional MMA fighter including Cage Fury Fighting Championships and is 2-0 under the CFFC banner with two finishes under his belt in two appearances with the promotion. Rayford has never gone to the scorecards during his professional career with a finish rate of 100 percent to show for it. All of his finishes over the course of his professional journey have come inside of a single round within five minutes or fewer. He has spent his entire career in the United States.
In his professional MMA debut at Shotgun Entertainment Fighting Championships 27, he faced Wesley Sullivan and tapped him out in round one via rear-naked choke to notch his only submission win as a professional. Rayford defeated David Johannes via TKO in the first round in his promotional debut with Cage Fury Fighting Championships at CFFC 125. Then on the main card of CFFC 136, he defeated Jeramy Titsworth via technical knockout in round one. The win scored Rayford the second knockout victory of his professional career in addition to back-to back victories and finishes under the CFFC banner. He also earned his third overall win inside the professional ranks in the process.
At CFFC 143 on June 6, Rayford will face off against Chris Choo in an encounter at Light Heavyweight. Good luck Frank!
