It’s rematch time in Cage Warriors. The bout between Liam Gittins and Alessandro Giordano ended in a no-contest decision the last time these two rivals met and is about to go down again. During the Cage Warriors 183 event in Rome, a couple of months ago, Giordano was hit in the eye by an accidental punch and the fight was immediately suspended.
On the 28th of June, at Cage Warriors 191 in Manchester, the two fighters will meet again for the bantamweight belt.
The odds are fundamentally the same, with Gittins slightly favourite. In March, there were some fans not too thrilled by this match-up. Gittins should have defended his title against Shirzad Qadrian last November, but The Lion was injured at that time. Then, in March, he was observing Ramadan, so he could not fight. Gittins, however, was active and the federation found him another opponent.
Giordano is not the number one contender, but the bantamweight from Naples can really stand his ground against anyone, as his streak of three consecutive wins shows.
The Southport native has more MMA experience than Giordano and has been a champion since 2023. This is why the bookmakers favour him over the Italian. The two fighters know each other very well and were in the same ring in March, so they had the chance to taste an appetizer of a bout that will certainly keep the Manchester audience entertained.

The others will have to choose from a pretty slim list of international broadcasters. Cage Warriors 191 will bring the fights back to the North West, in a country where MMA is highly appreciated. Gittins will be on his home turf, in England, and this is another advantage for him. However, nobody believes that Giordano will let the environment get to him because he will be too focused on winning the title.
