Sports that stay up to date with the current times manage to maintain longevity while still giving the everyday fan their daily dose of nostalgia. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a cooldown crusader ready to bear a badge of hot honor on August 2 at Northern Lights Casino for Throne MMA by bringing home some golden championship hardware for the promotion in the dog days of the summer months at Women’s Bantamweight at just 25 years old. An Amateur mixed martial artist since September 2024 and representing Academy Of Combat Arts, Kayla Sirjord owns a 1-1 record with her only Amateur win resulting in a TKO. She is 1-0 under the Throne MMA banner. Sirjord has never gone to the scorecards at any point in her Amateur journey with a finish rate of 100 percent to show for it and has spent her whole career in the United States. The one and only finish during her career as an Amateur MMA fighter has come inside the opening round with a time of two minutes and 27 seconds. Sirjord has a single first-round finish under her belt in the span of five minutes or fewer through her first two appearances in the Amateur MMA ranks so far with one finish as part of her overall Amateur journey

In her Amateur MMA debut and promotional debut under the Throne MMA banner, she faced Karie Adair and defeated her via technical knockout in round one. The victory secured Sirjord the first knockout win of her Amateur career along with her first win and finish under the Throne MMA banner. She also scored her first overall victory as an Amateur mixed martial artist in the process.

At Throne MMA on August 2, Sirjord will square off against Rachael Beauchamp for the Throne MMA Women’s Bantamweight title. Good luck Kayla!
