In the MMA world, betting on yourself in order to truly unlock your potential can lead you down a road that was once dreamed of, but now realized. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet the newest path paver of yellow brick entering the trial den for Cage Warriors as the latest signee to put pen to paper. A professional mixed martial artist since September 2023 and representing GB Top Team, Yusuf Ali-Taleb owns an undefeated 6-0 record consisting of three knockouts and three decisions. He has fought for various promotions over the course of his career as a professional MMA fighter including FightStar Championship and has spent the majority of his career in the United Kingdom. Taleb is 1-0 under the Cage Warriors banner. Taleb also fought for Cage Warriors Academy Southeast as an Amateur before turning professional. He has gone to the scorecards on three occasions during his career and has finished three out of his six total wins in the professional ranks overall.
In his professional MMA debut, he faced Joe Bello and defeated him via technical knockout in the second round. Taleb defeated Kleidas Lukasevicius via TKO in round one at FightStar Championship 28. Then at Fightstar Championship 30, he knocked out Gustavo Viera in the first round to notch his third knockout win as a professional. Taleb defeated Delmar Silva at FightStar Championship 31 via a split decision. He defeated Jonathan Carlos via unanimous decision at FightStar Championship 32.
In his promotional debut under the Cage Warriors banner on the preliminary card of Cage Warriors 192, Taleb defeated Antonino Amodeo via unanimous decision. The victory earned Taleb the third decision win of his professional career along with his first win under the Cage Warriors banner. He also picked up his sixth consecutive victory as a professional mixed martial artist in the process. With numerous GB Top Team pupils having tasted success in the yellow gloves, don’t be surprised if Taleb rises to the head of the crop class!
