Choosing the correct weight class can make all the difference in the world when it comes to how a fighter wants their story to be told. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a combine of crushing output ready to usher in a bountiful harvest with his golden touch at Light Heavyweight for Throne MMA on October 18 at the Butler Machinery Arena. An Amateur mixed martial artist since November 2023 and representing Start BJJ, Jessie Midas holds a 5-2 record in seven contests consisting of four knockouts and one decision. Midas has fought for several promotions during his Amateur career including Legacy Fighting Alliance and Throne MMA and has spent his whole career in the United States. He has finished four out of his five total wins over the course of his journey as an Amateur MMA fighter. His only decision victory has resulted in a unanimous verdict. All of his finishes have been inside the distance with the majority of those finishes coming in the opening round.

In his Amateur MMA debut at WFC 158, he faced Mason Tripp and defeated him via TKO in round one. Midas defeated James Thompson via technical knockout in the first round in his promotional debut under the Throne MMA banner. Then at Throne MMA, he defeated Joseph Lord via unanimous decision to earn his first and only decision win as an Amateur. Midas defeated Christopher Clark via TKO in round one. He defeated Lord for the second time via technical knockout in the second round. The win scored Midas the fourth knockout victory of his Amateur career. He also picked up his fifth overall win as an Amateur mixed martial artist in the process.

At Throne MMA on October 18, Midas will face off against James Fulgham in the first defense of his Light Heavyweight title. Good luck Jessie!
