Getting an opportunity to make your professional debut in your home state adds an extra special touch to any fighter’s opening chapter. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a gopher goliath ready to emerge from his big burrow and bury the opposition under an earthen mound at Heavyweight for Legacy Fighting Alliance. A professional mixed martial artist since September 2025 and representing La Bodega Fitness and Fight and The Basement, Ezayah Gomez owns a 1-0 record with his only victory coming via decision. He is 1-0 under the Legacy Fighting Alliance banner. Gomez has spent his entire career as a professional MMA fighter with Legacy Fighting Alliance and also fought for them as an Amateur before turning professional along with North Iowa Fights. He has spent his whole career in the United States with the majority of it being in his home state of Minnesota. Gomez’s lone win in the professional ranks has resulted in a unanimous verdict over the course of three rounds and a time period of 15 minutes in his only professional appearance to show for it thus far.

In his professional MMA debut and promotional debut under the Legacy Fighting Alliance banner on the preliminary card of LFA 217, he faced Adam Poulin and went on to defeat him via unanimous decision. The victory notched Gomez the first decision win of his professional career in addition to his first win under the Legacy Fighting Alliance banner. He also picked up his first overall victory as a professional mixed martial artist in the process. Gomez is a promising big boy whose drill-like fists are an omen for those that do not have all their combat tools in one ordered box because this large constructor will dig a deep dirt grave if measurements are the slightest off center for burial purposes!
