Fighting in neighboring states that are relatively close to a fighter’s home base of operations can eliminate all the unwanted guesswork, allowing them to give their undivided attention to the task at hand with a clear mind free from distractions. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a Rushmore rocker ready to crank up the sound on his MMA journey and land big fish in the cage basket. An Amateur mixed martial artist since March 2022 and representing Next Edge Academy of Martial Arts, Brett Bye holds a 3-3 record in six outings consisting of one knockout, one submission and one decision. Bye has fought for several promotions throughout his career as an Amateur MMA fighter including Bellator MMA and Legacy Fighting Alliance and has spent his whole career in the United States. He is 2-0 under the Legacy Fighting Alliance banner with two finishes under his belt in two appearances with the promotion to show for it. Both of Bye’s finishes inside the Amateur ranks have been inside of two rounds.
In his Amateur MMA debut at Ignite Fights Evolution 1, he faced Brady Steinhorst and went on to defeat him via unanimous decision to notch his first decision victory as an Amateur. Bye submitted Cooper Hays via arm-triangle choke in the first round in his promotional debut under the Legacy Fighting Alliance at LFA 168 to secure his first submission win as an Amateur. Then in his second appearance with Legacy Fighting Alliance at LFA 214, he defeated Isaiah Skidmore via technical knockout in round two. The win scored Bye the first knockout victory of his Amateur career alongside back-to-back victories and finishes under the Legacy Fighting Alliance banner. He also earned his third overall win as an Amateur mixed martial artist in the process. Bye’s methodical tactics in every discipline can make even the laboring tasks move at quicker paces the higher he climbs the rocky scale ladder!
