An Amateur mixed martial artist since June 2021 and representing The Academy, Tyree Overton owns a 6-0 record consisting of three knockouts, two submissions and one decision He is 2-0 under the Legacy Fighting Alliance banner and has spent his entire career in the United States. Overton has finished four out of his six total wins during his career as an Amateur MMA fighter. Overton has fought for several promotions throughout his journey in the Amateur ranks including Fighting Alliance Championship and Legacy Fighting Alliance.

In his Amateur MMA debut at North Star Combat 15, he faced Caleb Burns and defeated him via unanimous decision. Overton defeated Logan Dean in round two at Dream FC The Event of the Summa. Then in his promotional debut under the Legacy Fighting Alliance banner at LFA 152, he submitted Cory Piercy via rear-naked choke in the second round. Overton defeated Mike Klapperich via TKO in round one at Caged Aggression 37. He knocked out Porfyios Kotsopoulos in the first round at Fighting Alliance Championship 30.

In his second appearance with Legacy Fighting Alliance at LFA 217, Overton defeated Eli Pokorney via TKO in round two to earn the third knockout win of his Amateur career. He also notched his sixth overall victory as an Amateur mixed martial artist in the process. Overton may be a late bloomer in combat sports at 28 years young, but the return yield on protentional has him in the green!
