In mixed martial arts, there are certain situations where sitting on the sidelines, absent from the action and the hustle and bustle of being a professional fighter, so that they can straighten their true priorities out, can bring the big picture back into focus and provide a path for where they really want to go in their professional lives after some personal soul searching. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet the latest stallion of silver longevity ready to stomp over the cobwebs and reappear in the rodeo ring for Fury Fighting Championship. A professional mixed martial artist since April 2019 and representing The blood pack Muay Thai, Wolfpack Muay Thai, SOTX BJJ and RGVFA Academy, Tedrick Macklin owns a 6-2 record in eight bouts consisting of four submissions, one knockout and one decision. Mackin has spent the bulk of his career as a professional MMA fighter with Fury Fighting Championship. He has spent his entire career in the United States with the majority of it being in his home state of Texas. Macklin has finished five out of his six total wins during his career in the professional ranks.
In his professional MMA debut, he choked out Ysidro Portillo jr in round one. Macklin also submitted Soloman Amadeo in the first round in his promotional debut under the Fury Fighting Championship banner at Fury FC 61. Then at Fury FC 65, he knocked out Jacob Small in the first round to score his first and only submission victory as a professional. Macklin tapped out Braxton Everett via rear-naked choke in round one at Fury FC 70. He defeated Nico Echeverry at Fury FC 76 via unanimous decision to secure his lone decision win as a professional.
At Fury FC Challenger Series 4, Macklin choked out Raymond Cardenas via rear-naked choke in the second round to notch the fourth submission victory of his professional career. He also earned his sixth overall win as a professional mixed martial artist in the process. Macklin is a prospect whose skillful maneuvers have left many opponents hogtied and squealing like stuck swine!
