There is always a different energy in the room when local talents come out of their shell in their own backyard because it is almost like a love letter to the people who believed in them when no one else would take the chance. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a railyard rattler ready to come aboard for adventurous treks well out from his Southern station. A professional mixed martial artist since April 2023 and representing Scrapyard Mixed Martial Arts, Carter Beekman owns a 4-1 record in five bouts consisting of two knockouts, one submission and one decision. Beekman has spent his entire career in the United States in his home state of Tennessee and has fought for Legacy Fighting Alliance and Aries Fight Series. All three of his finishes over the course of his career as a professional MMA fighter have been inside of two rounds. Beekman’s only decision win has resulted in a split decision verdict.
In his professional MMA debut at Aries Fight Series 16, he faced Micah Sheffey and defeated him via technical knockout in round one. Beekman defeated Tyler Langford via a split decision at Aries Fight Series 22 to earn his lone decision victory as a professional. He defeated Anson Philips via TKO in the first round to score his second knockout win as a professional at Aries Fight Series 25.
Then in his promotional debut under the Legacy Fighting Alliance banner on the preliminary card of LFA 219, Beekman submitted Adrian Thomas in the second round via ninja choke to pick up the first submission victory of his professional career alongside his first win and finish under the Legacy Fighting Alliance banner. He also secured his fourth overall victory as a professional mixed martial artist in the process. Beekman is a prospect whose steady travel trajectory won’t remain localized once his momentum gathers steam in the smokestack!
