Fighting for a regional academy title is often considered to be a steppingstone to the final destination for European talents looking to link up with organizations that have substantial clout when it comes to their reputation and overall management. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will be introduced to the latest flyer of the fire looking to raise his hot heat stock to dangerous degree levels at Featherweight for Cage Warriors Academy Southeast. An Amateur mixed martial artist since August 2018 and representing Tsunami Gym, Marcin Kochel holds a 5-1 record in six contests consisting of three decisions and two submissions. Kochel has spent the majority of his career as an Amateur MMA fighter with Cage Warriors Academy Southeast. He has spent his entire career in the United Kingdom. Both of his finishes over the course of his career in the Amateur ranks have come in the second round. Kochel has gone to the scorecards on three occasions during his Amateur journey with two unanimous verdicts and a single split decision verdict under his belt to show for it.

In his promotional debut under the Cage Warriors Academy Southeast banner at CWASE 28, he faced Christian Benfield and defeated him via unanimous decision. Kochel also defeated Toby Jackson via unanimous decision at Cage Warriors Academy Southeast 31. Then at Cage Warriors Academy Southeast 38, he defeated Mohammed Mossaquoi via a split decision to pick up his third decision win as an Amateur. Kochel submitted Jordan Allen in the second round at WFC 8.

At Cage Warriors Academy Southeast 39, he choked out Fares Benahamed via rear-naked choke in round two. The victory scored Kochel the second submission win of his Amateur career. He also earned his fifth overall victory as an Amateur mixed martial artist in the process. On November 22 at CWASE 40, Kochel will face off against Jacob Gifford for the Featherweight title. Good luck Marcin!
