Jake Paul’s scheduled fight against Gervonta Davis on November 14th was called off officially yesterday, the day after his ex-girlfriend filed a lawsuit against Davis
Paul’s team, MVP (Most Valuable Promotions), have since been lining up potential replacements with former UFC stars Nate Diaz and Francis Ngannou, and even YouTuber Deji being the front-runners to replace Davis.
However, it looks like Diaz has confirmed Jake Paul’s next opponent. He took to social media to say that he had signed the contract to rematch ‘The Problem Child’.
The last time the pair fought was back in August 2023, with Jake Paul getting the win via unanimous decision (98–91, 98–91 and 97–92), getting him back to winning ways, after his decision loss to Tommy Fury.
Since then, both men have been unbeaten in the ring, with Jake Paul beating another former UFC fighter in BKFC’s own Mike Perry, via technical knockout in round six.
He then, in true Jake Paul fashion, faced controversy due to fighting a 58-year-old Mike Tyson, whom he beat by unanimous decision (80–72, 79–73 and 79–73).
In his most recent bout, Jake Paul fought Julio Cesar Jr, getting another unanimous decision win (99–91, 97–93 and 98–92), which would earn him a spot as #14 in the WBA cruiserweight rankings.
While Jake Paul was trying to legitimise his boxing record, in true Nate Diaz style, he has been very inactive, having just one fight since, a boxing fight with Jorge Masvidal.
This was a rematch of the fight ‘BMF’ title fight in the UFC but this time it was settled in the ring.
Nate Diaz would get revenge on Masvidal and win via majority decision.
Jake Paul has amassed an impressive record against the UFC’s best in the ring, currently being 6-0 against mixed martial artists in boxing fights.
His opponents from the MMA world so far have been: Ben Askeren, Tyrone Woodley x2, Anderson Silva, Nate Diaz and Mike Perry.
Nate Diaz will be hoping to break this unwanted record and hand Jake Paul his second loss in boxing.
