Being active across multiple weight classes will allow a fighter to develop and decide at their own pace where they are the most comfortable, without outside influences that affect their decision. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet the newest scythe swinger of graven mortality ready to call curtains on the opposition in Full Contact Contender. A professional mixed martial artist since November 2025 and representing Aspire Combat Sports Academy, Tyler Derbyshire holds a 1-0 record with his lone win coming via submission. He has spent his whole career in the United Kingdom. Derbyshire has never gone to the scorecards during his career as a professional MMA fighter with a 100 percent finish rate and a single first-round finish to show for it under his belt. He also fought for Full Contact Contender as an Amateur at both Bantamweight and Flyweight before turning professional. Derbyshire’s only finish inside the professional ranks has been inside of a single round with a time of two minutes and 43 seconds.

In his professional MMA debut and promotional debut under the Full Contact Contender in the opening main card contest of FCC 44, he faced Samuel Nascimento and went on to tap him out in round one via arm-triangle choke. The victory locked up the first submission win of Derbyshire’s professional career alongside his first win and finish under the Full Contact Contender banner. He also earned his overall first victory as a professional mixed martial artist in the process. At just 19 years of age, Derbyshire and his soul snatching of the weak-willed is the manifestation of an age-old childhood fear brought back under the microscope and into reality’s truthful nightlight for those are still afraid of the dark and hide in safe spaces only visible to them and a trustful chosen few before putting fear to the opposite side of the pillow to be replaced by bravery as a sign of growing up!
