In any of the major sports leagues, a youth movement can serve as a bridge between generations, creating common ground to build an enduring legacy long after an athlete retires. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a finisher of flourishing light, ready to undergo a thorny transformation and become a sharpened spike above ground for Fury Fighting Championship. A professional mixed martial artist since November 2024 and representing WAR Training Center, Hayden Briers holds a 4-0 record consisting of two knockouts, one submission and one decision. All three of his finishes over the course of his career as a professional MMA fighter have been in a single round. His lone decision win has resulted in a split decision verdict. Briers is 2-0 under the Fury Fighting Championship banner and has spent his whole career in the United States in his home state of Texas. He has finished three out of his four total victories during his journey inside the professional ranks.

In his professional MMA debut at Elevate FC Fight Night 5, he choked out Walker Watson in the first round via rear-naked choke to pick up his first submission victory as a professional. Briers defeated Gilberto Melara at XKO Fight Night via a split decision to score his first and only decision win as a professional. Then in his promotional debut under the Fury Fighting Championship banner at Fury FC 107, he defeated Anthony Valenzuela via technical knockout in round one.

At Fury FC 112 and at a catchweight of 140 pounds, Briers knocked out Saul Elizondo in the first round to secure the second knockout win of his professional career in addition to back-to-back victories and finishes under the Fury Fighting Championship banner. He also earned his fourth consecutive win to start his career as a professional mixed martial artist in the process. Briers will without any doubt be a troublesome thorn to pluck out the deeper that he becomes embedded in his home biome!
