The first professional contest for a fighter is the ultimate roller coaster of every emotion known to man packed full of twists and turns that no one can possibly predict most of the time regardless of how monumentally daunting the moment may appear to look through the lens of the observer’s eyes. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet the newest Irish goliath ready to rattle the foundational footing at Heavyweight for Full Contact Contender at FCC 45 on March 7 as he sets out on his trek to vanquish an unbeaten giant for his opening professional chapter. An Amateur mixed martial artist since August 2017 and representing Team Ryano, Brian Draper holds a 4-6 record with all of his victories coming via decision. All four of his wins over the course of his career as an Amateur MMA fighter have been via the judge’s scorecards. Draper has fought for various promotions throughout his journey inside the Amateur ranks including Clan Wars. He has spent his whole career in the United Kingdom. 100 percent of his overall wins have either resulted in unanimous or split decision verdicts.
At Clan Wars 37, he faced Connor McDermott and went on to defeat him via unanimous decision. Draper also defeated Denis Perry via a split decision at Clan Wars 39 Elite Series 1. Then at Premier Fighting Championship 6, he defeated Padrig Kelleher via unanimous decision. At Fares Fighting Championship 1 Draper defeated Kya O’ Brien via a split decision. The victory scored Draper the fourth decision win of his Amateur career. He also earned his fourth overall victory as an Amateur mixed martial artist in the process.
For his professional debut under the Full Contact Contender banner on March 7th at FCC 45 from the Olympia in Liverpool, he will battle the undefeated Josh Carrick 2-0 in a heavyweight tilt. Good luck Brian!
