From the Dallas Cowboys of the NFL to the San Antonio Spurs of the NBA, the Lone Star state and their love affair with sports in general runs deep. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a steer of spicy beats ready to raise his heat tolerance past the threshold of normal acceptance for Peak Fighting in familiar territory. A professional mixed martial artist since March 2023 and representing Campuzano MMA, Bailey King sports a 5-1 record in six contests consisting of three knockouts, one submission and one decision. His only decision win has resulted in a split decision verdict. King has spent his whole career as a professional MMA fighter with Peak Fighting. He has spent his entire professional tenure in the United States in his home state of Texas. King also fought for Peak Fighting as an Amateur before turning professional. He has finished four out of his five total victories over the course of his arc inside the professional ranks. All of his finishes have been inside the distance.
In his professional MMA debut at Peak Fighting 27, he faced Harrison Layne and went on to defeat him via technical knockout in round one. King also defeated Altynbek Arykbaev via TKO in the second round at Peak Fighting 30. Then at Peak Fighting 35, he submitted Mark Hussey in round two via rear-naked choke in round two to pick up his lone submission victory as a professional. King defeated Parker Didier via TKO in the first round at Peak Fighting 42 to score his third knockout win as a professional to go along with his fourth finish.
At Peak Fighting 45, he defeated Joel Bauman via a split decision. The win earned King the first decision victory of his professional career. He also notched his fifth victory overall as a professional mixed martial artist in the process. Despite just having six bouts to his name, King is a prospect whose methods of dispatch take very few stages to carry out in this combat rodeo!
