Scotland’s return to the Cage Warriors calendar rotation has allowed a whole new generation of talent to spread their professional wings and reach heights once thought impossible, and well beyond the scope of capable stardom in its present form across European MMA as a collective enterprise. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will be introduced to the newest kilt climber ready to put down foundational roots at welterweight for Cage Warriors and send Glasgow into a frenzied uproar on April 25 at Cage Warriors 205 from the Braehead Arena on UFC Fight Pass in what is sure to be an event for the ages with the likes of Sean Clancy Jr, Michael Blair and many more Scottish favorites leading the blowout bash with welterweight title unity set to top the party bill as the evening’s headliner. An Amateur mixed martial artist since August 2022 and representing HMAC Inverness, Lewis Urquhart sports a 1-0-1 record comprised of one decision and a draw. Urquhart has fought for several organizations during his arc as an Amateur MMA fighter including Caestus MMA. His one and only decision win inside the Amateur ranks has resulted in a unanimous verdict over the course of three rounds. Urquhart has spent his entire career in the United Kingdom in his home country of Scotland.

In his promotional debut under the Caestus MMA banner at Caestus MMA 4, he faced Marc McMahon and went on to defeat him via unanimous decision. The win notched Urquhart the first decision victory of his Amateur career. He also picked up his first overall victory as an Amateur mixed martial artist in the process. For his yellow glove debut under the Cage Warriors banner at Cage Warriors 205 on April 25, Urquhart will square off against fellow yellow glove debutant Sean Coakley in a welterweight encounter. Good luck Lewis!
