Any ideal athletic scenario involving mixed martial arts will always involve fighters opening and closing their careers in the same place where it all began. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will be introduced to the newest shotgun scientist ready to calibrate his career and turn a profit for Legacy Fighting Alliance with a sure-fire featherweight formula. A professional mixed martial artist since April 2026 and representing Strike Martial Arts Academy, Malik Thompson sports a 1-0 record with his sole win coming via TKO. Thompson has never gone to the scorecards during his time inside the ranks as a professional MMA fighter with a finishing rate of 100 percent under his belt to show for it. He is 1-0 under the Legacy Fighting Alliance banner with one finish in his only appearance with the organization. Thompson has spent his entire career in the United States in his home state of Oklahoma. The one and only finish over the course of Thompson’s professional journey has been in the third and final round with a time of three minutes and 18 seconds.

In his professional MMA debut and promotional debut under the Legacy Fighting Alliance banner on the preliminary card of LFA 230, he faced Alpha Yero Mansare and went on to defeat him via technical knockout in round three. The victory notched Thompson the first knockout win of his professional career along with earning victory and finish number one under the Legacy Fighting Alliance banner. He also picked up his first overall win as a professional mixed martial artist in the process. At 1-0, Thompson is a prospect whose simple and effective MMA tactics either have opponents hanging on a knife’s edge as a means of drawn-out survival or conceding an early checkmate because they do not carry the necessary firepower on hand or in person in case of an emergency callout!
