A professional mixed martial artist since August 2020 and representing Forza Combat Sports and Fitness, Nick O’ Brien owns a 6-3 record in nine outings overall consisting of four knockouts and two decisions. He has fought for various organizations over the span of his arc as a professional MMA fighter including Synergy FC and Legacy Fighting Alliance and is 1-0 under the LFA banner. O’ Brien has spent his entire career in the United States with the majority of it being in his home state of Oklahoma. Both of his decision victories have resulted in unanimous verdicts.
In his professional MMA debut at XFL 367, he defeated James Warren via TKO in the second round. O’ Brien knocked out Hector Arteaga in round two at Martial Combat League 2. Then at XFL 384, he defeated Raul Garcia via technical knockout in the first round. O’ Brien defeated Donzeil Marshall via TKO in round one to earn his fourth knockout win as a professional at Melee Combat Championship 3. He defeated John Beckett in the co-main event of Synergy FC 17 via unanimous decision.
In his promotional debut under the Legacy Fighting Alliance banner on the preliminary card of LFA 230 at a catchweight of 138 pounds, O’ Brien defeated Jose Intriago via unanimous decision to obtain the second decision victory of his professional career and first win under the LFA banner. He also picked up his sixth overall victory as a professional mixed martial artist in the process. O’ Brien’s unflappable courage in the wake of changing challenges manmade or otherwise, is an illustration of the will of a strong survivor destined for dreams beyond his Plains pen!
