Many athletes consider retirement, by definition, not the official closure of one arc of their story but the beginning of another adventure full of excitement and opportunity, as fighters pass the torch of responsibility to their prized pupil. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a Spartan of Summer’s vengeance ready to alter the big picture at heavyweight by giving Oktagon MMA some amped American spice. A professional mixed martial artist since April 2025 and representing Scorpion Fighting System, Jackson Ross sports a 3-0 record consisting of two knockouts and one decision. Both of his finishes as a professional MMA fighter have come in the opening round within five minutes or fewer with times of 14 seconds and one minute and 44 seconds for those two respective finishes. His only decision win has resulted in a unanimous verdict over a duration of three rounds and a timeframe of 15 minutes. Ross has spent his full career in the United States in Ohio and his home state of Michigan respectively. He has fought for various organizations throughout his time in the professional ranks including Caged Thunder.

In his professional MMA debut, he faced Ontario Johnson and went on to defeat him via technical knockout in the first round. Ross defeated Cameron Graham via unanimous decision at Caged Thunder 37 to obtain his lone decision victory as a professional. Then, he defeated Jamor James Jr via TKO in round one. The win earned Ross the second knockout victory of his professional career in addition to getting his second finish. He also picked up his third consecutive win to start off his journey in total overall as a professional mixed martial artist in the process.

In his promotional debut under the Oktagon MMA banner on July 11 at Oktagon 91, he will square off against Nicolaj Wagner in a heavyweight affair. Good luck Jackson!
