A professional mixed martial artist since December 2025 and representing Mid City MMA and Lebros MMA, Merrick Nicholas holds a 2-1 record with both of his wins coming via submission. Nicholas has fought for Bayou Fighting Championship, Fury Fighting Championship and Legends Fight League. He has never gone to the scorecards over his time as a professional MMA fighter with a 100 percent finish rate and two first-round finishes through two outings under his belt to show for it so far in his journey. Each of his finishes inside the professional ranks have come in a single round inside of five minutes or fewer. His whole career has been in the United States with the majority of it being in his home state of Louisiana. Nicholas also fought for Bayou Fighting Championship and Fury Fighting Championship as an amateur before turning professional.
In his professional MMA debut at Bayou Fighting Championship 76, he faced Tyrone Paige and went on to tap him out in round one. Nicholas also submitted Dyron Swain Jr in the first round at Legends Fight League 2. The win earned Nicholas the second submission victory of his professional career in addition to picking up back-to-back finishes. He also notched his second win overall as a professional mixed martial artist in the process. Nicholas is a prospect whose aggressive dispatches in cage time at three contests into his local arc make for an enlarged bottom line in the bank account and ups the ante for a front-page leadoff!
