In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a grizzly of growling girth ready for the newest course in his primetime youth feast at heavyweight for Cage Fury Fighting Championships. A professional mixed martial artist since June 2025 and representing Team Top Notch, Matt Gawlik is the owner of a 5-0 with all victories coming via TKO. He is 1-0 under the Cage Fury Fighting Championships banner. Gawlik has never gone to the scorecards at any juncture in his career as a professional MMA fighter with a finish rate of 100 percent. All five of his professional finishes have been in the opening round inside of five minutes or fewer. His whole journey has come in the United States.
In his professional MMA debut at BFC 8, he took on Dan Almario and defeated him via technical knockout in round one. Gawlik also defeated Dino Saracco via TKO in the first round at BFC 10. Then at BFC 12, he defeated Nicholas Williams via technical knockout in round one. Gawlik defeated Alexis Rodriguez at Total Fight Challenge in the first round. In his promotional debut under the Cage Fury Fighting Championships banner in the co-main event of CFFC 156, Gawlik defeated Billy Ray Valdez via technical knockout in round one to pick up the fifth knockout win of his professional career alongside scoring his first victory and finish under the Cage Fury Fighting Championships banner. He also secured his fifth consecutive victory overall as a professional mixed martial artist in the process.
At CFFC 161 on September 11 from Hard Rock Casino Rockford, Gawlik will face fellow knockout specialist Petera Wilson 3-1 in an all-action heavyweight clash. Good luck Matt!
