The opening chapter to any athlete’s journey may start out the same, but the meat of the story has a different result at the conclusion than they first thought or anticipated because of circumstances that do not really reveal themselves until later on thanks to a plot twist in the arc of the overall story. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will get introduced to the newest serpent of slick impressions ready to hiss out hot caution and heat up the professional expectations in Fury Fighting Championship. A professional mixed martial artist since September 2026 and representing Gracie Barra The Woodlands, Alan Gonzalez is the owner of a 1-0 record with his sole win coming via submission. Gonzalez has made his home as a professional MMA fighter under the banner of Fury Fighting Championship and is 1-0 for them. He also fought for Fury Fighting Championship as an Amateur before turning professional. He has never gone to the scorecards inside the professional ranks with a 100 percent finish rate. The one and only finish of his tale thus far has been in the opening round inside of five minutes or fewer with a time of two minutes and five seconds. His entire arc has stayed in the United States in his home state of Texas.
In his professional MMA debut and promotional debut under the Fury Fighting Championship banner in the kickoff contest to open up the main card of Fury FC 124 at a catchweight of 130 pounds, he faced Damien Herrera and submitted him in the first round via triangle choke. The victory gave Gonzalez the first submission win of his professional career and earned his first win and finish under the Fury Fighting Championship banner to go along with it. He also locked in his first overall victory in the process as a professional mixed martial artist. Gonzalez may be green at 19 years old in terms of experience but is already showcasing a sharpened intelligence when instructed in by the book techniques!
