The first few bouts of a fighter’s career can often be described as a feeing out process in terms of measuring progress from one bout to the next. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet the latest Jersey jammer swimming in stock and playing to a packed house every night of the work week for Cage Fury Fighting Championships at Light Heavyweight. A professional mixed martial artist since August 2024 and representing Webb MMA and Fitness under head coach Jonavin Webb, Jose Soto holds a 2-0 record consisting of one submission and one decision. Soto has spent his whole professional career with Cage Fury Fighting Championships and is 2-0 under their banner. He has spent his entire career in the United States. His only decision win has resulted in a unanimous verdict over the course of three rounds and a time period of 15 minutes. Soto has a single first-round finish under his belt through two appearances as a professional MMA fighter with a time of four minutes and 44 seconds.

In his professional MMA debut and promotional debut under the Cage Fury Fighting Championships banner at CFFC 134, he faced Tyree Sutton and went on to defeat him via unanimous decision to score his first decision victory as a professional. Then in the opening bout of CFFC 145, Soto submitted Reggie Northrup in the first round. The victory secured Soto the first submission win of his professional career in addition to back-to back victories under the Cage Fury Fighting Championships banner. He also earned his second overall win as a professional mixed martial artist in the process. At 2-0, Soto is already handing out strict punishments to those who allow the rulebook to fall by the wayside and into disrepair, so foes in any future outings should abide by the combat conduct code for the sake of their own self-survival if they wish to move forward to the upper grades!
