Across The Pond profile: Fury Fighting Championship fighter Carlos Rivera

MMA fighters learn very early on to never become too comfortable in one location for too long because of the sport’s nomadic nature at any given time. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a falcon of frozen fervor ready to deliver a numbing wave of Colorado cold straight from the rocky mountain air at Bantamweight for Fury Fighting Championship. A professional mixed martial artist since April 2023 and representing Victory MMA, Carlos Rivera holds a 3-1 record in four contests consisting of two submissions and one knockout. He has fought for several organizations throughout his career as a professional MMA fighter including Fury Fighting Championship and Legacy Fighting Alliance. Rivera has never gone to the scorecards during his journey in the professional ranks with a 100 percent finish rate to show for it. All three of his finishes have come inside of two rounds. He is 1-0 under the Fury Fighting Championship banner. Rivera has spent his whole career in the United States with the majority being in his home state of Colorado.

In his professional MMA debut at Colorado Combat Club 17, he faced Anthony Valenzula and defeated him via technical knockout in round one to notch his first knockout win as a professional. Rivera submitted Hondo Gutierrez in the second round in his promotional debut under the Legacy Fighting Alliance banner at LFA 170. Then in his promotional debut under the Fury Fighting Championship banner on the main card of Fury FC 107, he tapped out Keron Reed in round two to score the second submission win of his professional career along with his first win and finish under the Fury Fighting Championship banner. He also earned his third overall victory as a professional mixed martial artist in the process. Rivera’s ice-cold approach can freeze out a carefully constructed assault and transform it into a melted mess of Winter slush, so opponents better know when it becomes appropriate to pack it in, otherwise the punishment will create a snowball effect!
