Across The Pond Profile: Oktagon MMA fighter Brian Manning

As a rule, MMA fighters are never quite comfortable with being in one place for any extended period of activity. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a shamrock stargazer ready to rocket his career stakes and burst the German bubble at Middleweight for Oktagon MMA. A professional mixed martial artist since September 2024 and representing MMA Cork, Brian Manning owns a 5-0 record consisting of four knockouts and one submission. He has fought for Cage Conflict, Elite Fighting Championship and Virtus MMA and has spent his whole career in the United Kingdom. Manning has never gone to the scorecards during his career as a professional MMA fighter with a 100 percent finish rate under his belt to show for it in his five professional appearances. All of Manning’s finishes over the course of his journey inside the professional ranks have been within two rounds.

In his professional MMA debut at Elite Fighting Championship 2, he faced Jordan Heath and went on to defeat him via technical knockout in round one. Manning also defeated Vanderlei Junior via TKO in the first round at Elite Fighting Championship 3. Then at Cage Conflict 15 Modern Warfare, he defeated Delmar Silva via technical knockout in round one. Manning submitted Sean Kelly in the second round via rear-naked choke to earn his first and only submission win as a professional at Virtus MMA 4.

At Elite Fighting Championship 5, he defeated Daniel Karlsson via TKO in round one. The win secured Manning the fourth knockout victory of his professional career. He also scored his fifth consecutive win to start his career as a professional mixed martial artist in the process. Manning is a prospect whose eagle-eyed gaze never misses a moment of the action and never misses an opportunity to capitalize on a quick cash transaction to keep Irish eyes smiling and his bottom line filled up and full any time of a giving year!
